Altec Lansing inMotion SoundBlade Bluetooth A2DP Speaker/Speakerphone (Black) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Over the past month I have owned/compared the Yamaha NX-B02, Parrot Party, and Altec Lansing Soundblade (Amazon's return policy makes it easy). The Soundblade is very good, but I thought the Parrot was the best (and kept it while returning the other 2). You can read my reviews for the other 2. For the Soundblade, it certainly was put together well with excellent features (speakerphone and can control the music player somewhat) and design. It played the loudest, but had the least impressive bass of the 3 and had the most distortion of the 3 in the upper frequencies. I realize that no speaker system this size will sound great, but the Parrot (using bluetooth) and the Yamaha (using line-in) sounded better. For moderate listening volumes, it certainly was adequate. I also felt like the Parrot was a little more portable for what I'm using it for (back deck and pool), although the Soundblade would probably be the best for travel (thin).

Altec Lansing inMotion SoundBlade - Bluetooth hands-free speakerphone Review

(More customer reviews)This product works great! The sound quality is perfect. I take this to work with me and out with my friends and listen to music wherever I go. It's the perfect size. You can either have it plugged in or get rechargeable batteries if you'd like to take it on the go with you. Best purchase I've ever made! All my friends tell me how cool it is and how jealous they are!

Bluetooth Speaker - Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)There is a subtle, high-pitched whine (briefly noted in CNET review) when using bluetooth. It's noticeable enough that you can't stop hearing it and makes listening to music impossible. It sounds surprisingly good, however, when using the line-in (but you could buy something similar, and a lot cheaper, if you don't care about bluetooth). I have a new phone (Blackberry Pearl 8130) and pairing was no problem. I called Yamaha and they were not aware of the problem, although I did have the rep read the CNET review. He said he would talk to the tech guys and get back to me. That was two weeks ago.
I am returning the Yamaha and have just recieved a Parrot "Party"Parrot PARTY Bluetooth® Stereo 2.0 Portable Soundbox. Interestingly, the Parrot sounds very good using bluetooth, but not as good using line-in. I'm keeping the Parrot.

Miccus BluBridge Mobile Speaker Portable, Bluetooth Stereo Speakers with MaxxBass Enhancement and Conference Calling. Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was looking for an alternate to using headphones to listen to my music. This little speaker is a great desktop solution. Of course the sound quality doesn't match my home stereo system but considering the size and the use I'm happy. I think this unit will be great for our family vacation too. I haven't tried it for routing calls.
