The New Best Thing Portable Universal AMPD Speaker CUBE for Apple iPhone 3G 16GB, 8GB (AT&T-ATT) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Horrible, thin, tin-like sound. Really not worth the money. I got the X-Mini Capsule at the same time and comparing that speaker to this one is like night and day. This is a waste of money unless you like really cheap hollow sound... and want to waste a lot of money on batteries... or lug around something with a USB port to power it. Get the X-Mini II instead, it's great. X-Mini II Capsule Speaker

AudioTechnica AT-SP21 Folding Compact Portable Speakers Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I received a set of these speakers as part of a corporate gift bag. I've used them for at least two years and they just gave out on me. Just logged on here to buy another pair. I travel a bit for work and I have found these to be a perfect solution for listening to my tunes in the car and the hotel without having to worry about carrying the right adapters, having batteries, etc. The sound isn't great but I listen to podcasts a lot (spoken word) and they work just fine for that purpose. I'm buying another pair if that tells you what I think of them. Can't beat the price.

Arkon Portable Fold-up Speakers for iPod and Music Players (Gray) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It works but the volume is way too low to be heard when inside a running vehicle. I like the style and size but speakers were not adaptable to what I wanted to use them for.

Enjoy clear, precise audio while listening to your iPod with these portable Arkon fold-up speakers, which are only slightly bigger than the iPod itself. The speakers make ideal companions when traveling, as listeners can enjoy headphone-free tunes whether alone or in small groups without lugging along a boombox-sized setup. As an added convenience, the CM209 speakers are also completely self-powered, meaning they don't require an AC adapter or batteries to run. Simply plug them in and you're ready to go, regardless of whether you're listening for five minutes or 500 hours. And thanks to speakers' compact size (they measure 4.48 by 2.75 by 1.65 inches when folded), it's easy to stash the speakers in a backpack or purse, or even in a large jacket pocket with your iPod.
Note that the CM209s aren't just iPod-specific--they're also compatible with other audio devices with standard 3.5 mm headphone jacks, including portable CD players, satellite radio receivers, and MP3 players. In addition, the speakers come with a carrying pouch to protect the casing during transport, along with an 8-inch tangle-free audio cable. The cable even stores inside the fold-up clamshell to ensure a tidy appearance.

Philips SBA1600/37 MP3 Portable Speaker SBA1600 Universal (White) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I actually got this system used from a thrift store for $5 (good deal!)... but it works great; it boosts the sound by maybe 20 decibels (it sounds ten times louder than my laptop speaker). Haven't had batteries run out yet, but it doesn't take well to rechargeables (NiMH); it drained my little AAAs in about an hour when I tried it with some half-charged ones. I'm currently testing it with freshly charged ones. When the battery gets low, the sound starts skipping until you lower the volume; there's no 'battery good / bad' light.
It's pretty cool, though, and actually has stereo speakers (though for some reason the stereo is reversed on mine; I just use it upside down). Definitely worth the $5 I paid; probably even worth $10-15.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my Blackberry Curve 8350i, but it makes a horrible squealing sound when I plug it in.
I had to buy another adapter, since the speaker had none that would successfully connect to my mobile.
I tried it on an old Sony Ericsson P910, and it works fine. Just NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BLACKBERRY 8350i.
