Energizer XP4001 Universal Rechargeable Power Pack Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Very high quality, light weight, loads of power, and will charge 2 devices at the same time. I've kept this power pack in my topcoat pocket and had portable power where ever I go. I've used it on airplanes, airports, conferences, restaurants, etc. When others are tied to, or desperately searching for an outlet I'm browsing, talking, and charging in peace and tranquility. It easily fits in my neoprene laptop case and while a little too large to be unnoticed, it will fit in a sport-coat or jacket pocket as well. At 4000mw it may be overkill for my iPhone, camera, and GPS, but I bought this over the 2000mw unit in anticipation of using it with an iPad. For an iPhone alone the 2000mw unit would be even easier, i.e. less noticeable, to carry in a suite-coat pocket.

Kensington K39265US Charging Dock with Mini Battery Pack for iPhone and iPod, including iPhone 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)i bought this for my bf and have seen what it can do. this product is great for its price. we recently put it to the test last night while waiting 4 hours in line for tron legacy at imax. his cell was down to about 65% and he had brought his fully charged charger, this product i'm reviewing, and while waiting on line, and still using his iphone for downloading updates, playing games, checking emails and such, he was able to get almost an additional 40% charge off this lil charger i got him. that was perfect! so if he was just using it to charge it could well be above 40% charge. the dock holds both the iphone 4 and battery nice and sturdy, it even provides a small connect base so all the weight of the iphone isnt on the prongs of the charger. its very easy to hookup. i'd recommend this item to anyone who uses their iphone all day and find themselves with very lil left by the end of their night, and still are out and about in the city or just away from home for that extra boost of power.

GOgroove FlexSMART 4i Car Mount System Hi-Fi FM Transmitter and Charger for AT&T and Verizon Apple iPhone and iPod (NEWEST AND PREVIOUS MODELS) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Overall, two thumbs up. I typically don't write product reviews, but I looked around and tried a number of methods and devices to do what I describe in the following, and after much time and mistrials, the only product I found that does it all is the GoGroove FlexSmart.
I wanted the product to do three things: (a) First, I wanted a car charger for my iPhone 4. The FlexSmart does that just fine, and the price of the item is about the same as an Apple car charger. (b)I wanted a iPhone holder for the car; it's OK for that. A little bit wobbly, but I feel safe mounting my device to it. Its gooseneck neck isn't too long, which probably adds to the stability, but it also makes it somewhat crowded around my car's dashboard controls (e.g., heater knobs). I can live with that. (c) I wanted an FM tuner base. I tried the only FM tuner presently suggested by Apple for iPhone 4, the Belkin, which contrary to what Apple states, did not work with my iPhone 4. The GoGroove tunes my iPhone 4 just fine.
A couple of minuses: (1) the materials the GoGroove are made from aren't top notch. It's worth the $40 I paid, but not much more than that. (2) I have to take my iPhone out of its bumper to properly seat with the GoGroove. The same was true with the Belkin tuner, so that's probably a problem with Apple's bumper.

KONNET Reflex Dock Pro Charging Dock / Cradle / Stand with USB to Micro USB Connection Cable for Audio and Video connection for iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, iPhone and iPod (Rubberized Black) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)UPDATE : I am returning this product because i can't seem to get it to work properly. The iPhone says accessory not supported too many times that i don't have patience. I am keeping the below review because maybe i received a defective piece but the feature still hold good.
Just got it from Amazon. The built of the product is very sturdy, the cables are probably the best out there with gold plating. I have a iPhone 3GS with a case and it fits nicely with the case. There is a grove rubber backing to give the phone/pod a little support. The USB Cable can SYNC and CHARGE at the same time. The Audio/Video cabels are nicely built with gold plating. I have yet to try them with the entertainment center. The Audio/Video out can be used with both the A/V cabels provided as well as regular stereo headphone. Since the A/V out is meant for a AV cable with three points, you can still use a stereo headphone by inserting it properly so that just the audio points make the connection. Not a hard thing to do at all and the jack is not flimsy that you have to keep on adjusting. Since the dock is meant for connection with an entertainment center, the volume control is not available and the volume controls on the iPhone/iPod don't control it either. Also the Volume Controls on the iPhone/iPod music app or any other music streaming app just disappear as soon as you dock. Th volume out is not very high or very low.. Perfect for a work desk listening if you are listening via headphones. If you have a set of portable speakers, you can control the volume through the speakers. Also the headphone jack on the iPhone is still available for those who want to control the volume. I will try out the A/V cable features tonight and report them too. All in all a good buy if you are looking for a stylish dock which will let you charge, sync with or without case and gives you options for both Audio and Video out all using one dock. The DISPLAYOUT app from CYDIA lets to use the AV cable to display anything

Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter and Auto Charger for Sansa Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We have used this unit in Chicago, Los Angeles, and on road trips. It works well, so long as you can find a clear channel. The unit works best when it is set to the middle channel of three clear channels in a row, so that the transmitter has a clear channel on either side of it. That's pretty hard to find in a major metropolitan area, so performance sometimes suffers. On rural highways (where we use it the most) clear channels are much easier to find, and performance is much better.

Soundfly-i Ultimate iPod / iPhone 4, 3G, 3Gs Auto-scan Fm Transmitter Charger with RDS & Remote Control Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I like the design of this product very much, but it suffers from a fatal flaw. The transmitter is weak. This is in direct conflict with what other reviews say. Also, the unit only broadcasts from 88.1-107.9 -- other websites and the back of the packaging claim its capable of 87.6 to 107.9.
From this, I think I know why the transmitter is so weak. Apparently, this unit originally did not comply with FCC regulations and probably was a very strong transmitter that could do the full FM frequency. At some point, apparently very recently, the FCC probably forced Satechi to remedy this and now it can no longer do 87.6-88.0 and no longer broadcast a signal powerful enough to be received from more than 6 yards out as the FCC requires.
If you look at reviews on Amazon, you'll notice the FM transmitters made by companies you've never heard of all get the high 5 star reviews while the ones made by big name brands (like Monster and Belkin) get absolutely trashed in the reviews. This is because ANY FM transmitter that actually complies with FCC regulations is garbage in a large city with heavy airwave saturation. The cheap chinese ones rarely comply with these regulations cause they constantly change brand names, anyways. The bigger players usually do play the by the rules and their products suffer as a result.
In this case, I suspect Satechi has recently been forced to start playing by the rules based on the transmitter I received. The weak signal and newly restricted (at least it appears to be a new change) frequency range are dead giveaways of this.
Sadly, that makes the unit hard to recommend. It's not Satechi's fault, but this transmitter just sucks in terms of signal strength (which means static *all* the time and an inability to broadcast "over" another signal if you can't find an empty frequency). Great design, but unless you live out in the middle of nowhere you probably won't be able to hear your music without static.

Advanced Car Mount System FM Transmitter & Charger for ANDROID Phones - HTC, Google, T-Mobile, Motorola, Samsung Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bought this will some trepidation reading some of the other reviews but it works amazingly with the Sprint HTC Hero. It comes with a mini USB Power plug and some other adapter for some devices. Not sure what it is for. It also has the right sized audio plug for the Sprint HTC Hero. The FM transmitter is clear and easy to use. Just set it and forget it. It remembers the station between power cycles. I listen to music when traveling and when a call comes in the music on the Hero pauses and the call comes through. Music and phone calls are clear. Listening to music and the Sprint Navigation at the same time is interesting but that is an issue with the Hero, not this product.
One downside that I found was the placement of the USB power outlet on the device. It is on the right side and I feel that it just sticks out there. It hasn't been a problem though. The other downside is the audio plug should have been a 90 degree plug because it sticks out of the top of the Hero a bit too far.

Accessory Power FlexSmart Car Mount System for PALM PRE SmartPhones - Cutting Edge FM Transmitter and Charger with DC Surge Protection and Stabilized Flex-Neck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this as a gift for Xmas and was excited about the possibility of hands free calling/charging/music playing all at once.
I do not find it to live up to all of my hopes.
Pros
-The product is sturdy as swivels nicely to be at an angle where it wont fall out.
-Bright blue indicator light at the base lets you know its plugged in and the power is working.
Cons
-Does not fit the Pre nicely. Had to significantly modify it to hold the pre in place because of the side charging plug. Originally the pads that hold it in place covered this part of the phone. The kit does come with pads you have to stick on the bottom to expose the charging plug, but it ends up sitting half out of the dock.
-No integrated microphone to base. This means you have to use the pre's mic for hands free calling, which often ends up in me yelling at the caller to hear me over road noise.
-The sound quality was ok while it worked. There was some noticeable distortion on songs I played through pandora/phone calls, but it was listenable. About 2 weeks in to using it, it developed a whomping noise I can not get rid of no matter what I try.
-The cables for power plug in that it comes with are ridiculously long. It leaves a lot of overlap that either hangs or has to be tucked in somewhere.
Overall
If they improved some of the shortcomings this could be a good product, however there are enough things holding it back for me not to reccomend it.

Premium All in 1 Advanced Car Mount System for Apple Iphone 3g & 3gs/itouch 2nd and 3rd Gen Ipod Nano - Flex-neck, Cutting Edge Fm Transmitter with Lcd Screen + Charging + Handsfree Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this product because of the reviews I read and thought it would be a great buy so I didnt have to carry CDs in my truck anymore since my IPhone 3GS is filled with nothing but music.
When item arrived I was disappinted in the way the package was, it was ripped and crushed and no instructions. I looked simple enough to so I tried to hook it up in my truck, with no success. So I figured I would try 4 different other vehicles in my family and still had no success with hooking up. My advice for you, is spend the extra money for one that is better quality or replace the stereo in your vehicle where it as a slot that all you need to do is plug the wire from your headphone jack right to the stereo, this way you dont have to worry about if the cigarette lighter is making a connection to this device.

Universal All-in-1 FM Transmitter For Apple iPod / iPhone / iTouch / Nano / iPad / Video / Shuffle / MP3 players w/ Remote Control - Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Figured for $12 with shipping I'd try it. Holder works great but the product itself is poor. I also have a Griffin that works very well but wanted something with a holder like this. The transmitter seems faulty as I have tried it in several vehicles and it does not transmit the frequencies for voice very well or if at all. It's like it has a built in Kareoki mode which is fine if you like to sing in your car but I like to hear the performing artist. I will wind up tossing this as it is unusable. The seller delivered as promised but for the price I didn't expect much and I got what I expected.

Coby CA-745 Wireless FM Car Transmitter with Digital Display and DC Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Coby-745 is in my opinion, the all-around best buy in the wireless FM car transmitter market. At $17.99 on Amazon, it is roughly half the price of most of it's competitors, but what's amazing is that it provides additional features! The cap on the built in car charger flips off to reveal a spot for another charging plug (like for a cell phone for example). The springs hold the device in tightly while in use and the charger unit is hinged to the transmitter, providing for a 360 degree+ rotation of the unit. The light up screen in blue shows the full frequency channels you can select from with the lighted dial, in increments of 0.1 MHz.
This unit doesn't just look pretty and have nice features, it also performs extremely well. On a 40 minute commute through back roads, highway and city, the unit didn't lose signal once and I heard ZERO interference, yes, that's right, none! Compare that to other reviews.
Downsides? All the downsides are common to most other transmitters: it doesn't have an on/off button, so you have to unplug the unit if you want it to stop drawing power. To get the sound just right, you have to crank the treble on your car stereo a tad (although this just may be a personal preference). And, you have to crank the volume on your mp3 player and/or stereo (and remember to turn the volumes back down when you use your stereo or mp3 player without the transmitter or else risk blowing out your eardrums). There was some static noise when handling the unit initially although I found this went away quickly as the static charge (coming from the user) dispersed.
The sound quality amazes me- very near CD quality sound- and I was very pleased there was no interference- in the 40 minutes driving, I never had to switch channels. As long as it holds up, I don't plan on switching transmitters anytime soon either. The Coby-745 rocks.

Monster iCarPlay Wireless 800 FM Transmitter for iPod and iPhone Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The transmission is terrible, you can barely hear the music over the static. The scanning function doesn't even pick the best of the static stations, when you are lucky it is only .1 or .2 off from a decent station, but about half the time there is no transmission at all. Also the dial, which initially looks fancy and fun, is very awkward to manipulate while driving. So essentially this is a very expensive ipod charger for when you are on the go.

(More customer reviews)I think I may have found the first hands free device for the BlackBerry... (I'm sure it's not the first, but I sure as heck cound't find one anywhere else). NY's finest love giving new "hands free" tickets for talking on your cell phone. I can finally remove this silly bluetooth headset and talks hands free with my BB!
Sound quality is pretty good compared to what I've heard on other FM transmitters. It's not as good as the quality I've heard with friends who have line-in plugs for their Iphones, but accptable nonetheless. No static, yet.
Setup is easy. Plug it in to the 12v outlet and tune the radio station to match what you set on the connector dock. My buddy had to give me a hand with the programming, but it wasn't really that hard. It would be nice if somehow there were less cables floating around the device! but I'm content with the fact it allows me to talk hands free and it even charges too! Maybe now I can try Pandora again? I tried it earlier, but it ate too much battery. I can follow up with the results soon.
